How consent works on this site
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies, presented as two equally weighted choices, plus a "Manage preferences" option for granular control. No box is pre-ticked in your favour. Analytics scripts do not load, and no analytics cookie is set, until you actively grant consent. Your choice is stored and applied on every later visit until you change it. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" button in the footer, which reopens the same preferences panel.
